Metrie is currently operating under permit GVA0574, which expires on June 30, 2025.</p><p>Metrie is requesting a new permit with a term to June 30, 2040 and a decrease in authorized 2-Butoxyethanol from 7.4 tonnes/year to 5.24 tonnes/year. Metrie has also requested an increase in authorized Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) to match usage projections for the requested permit term.</p><p>Metrie’s process of prefinishing mouldings and doors involves applying water based acrylic coatings to the mouldings and doors, and drying them in ovens. The doors and mouldings are made of fingerjoint wood and/or medium density fiberboard.
