Metrie Canada Ltd.Metrie Canada Ltd.GVA1277<div class="ExternalClassB413A5585F124E3EA6C2B16E4965982C"><p>​The purpose of this application is to request authorization to continue discharging air contaminants from Metrie’s existing pre-finished wood products plant located at 9255 194th Street, Surrey, BC V4N 4G2. Metrie is currently operating under permit GVA0574, which expires on June 30, 2025.</p><p>Metrie is requesting a new permit with a term to June 30, 2040 and a decrease in authorized 2-Butoxyethanol from 7.4 tonnes/year to 5.24 tonnes/year. Metrie has also requested an increase in authorized Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) to match usage projections for the requested permit term.</p><p>Metrie’s process of prefinishing mouldings and doors involves applying water based acrylic coatings to the mouldings and doors, and drying them in ovens. The doors and mouldings are made of fingerjoint wood and/or medium density fiberboard. The information collected will be used for the purpose of making a decision on the permit or approval application and will be forwarded to the permit or approval applicant for response to the District Director.
