| Notice of Assent Voting (Referendum) | Notice of Assent Voting (Referendum) | <div class="ExternalClassDBDF339317E34714B415F561504825B5"><h3>Metro Vancouver Electoral Area A Clean-Up Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1433, 2026</h3><p><strong>Public notice</strong> is given to the electors of water-access communities within Electoral Area A of the Metro Vancouver Regional District (MVRD) that assent voting will be held on the following question:</p><p>Are you in favour of the Metro Vancouver Regional District adopting MVRD Bylaw No. 1433, 2026 to establish within portions of Electoral Area A, a service for the purpose of the coordination, transportation, and disposal of waste items generated from water-access properties within the area, and to authorize a maximum annual taxation of $20,000 or $0.6/$1,000 of net taxable value of improvements, whichever is greater?</p><p>
<strong>Synopsis of MVRD Bylaw No. 1433, 2026</strong></p><p>MVRD Electoral Area A Clean-up Service Establishment Bylaw No. 1433, 2026:</p><ul><li>Establishes a service for the purpose of the coordination, transportation, and disposal of solid waste items from water-access properties in Bowyer Island, Passage Island, Indian Arm, and Pitt Lake; and</li><li>Requires the maximum of the greater of $20,000 or $0.6/$1,000 annually of net taxable value of improvements in the participating area to pay for the service.</li></ul><p>This synopsis is not, and is not intended to be, an interpretation of the bylaw. The bylaw may be viewed at the Metro Vancouver’s office at 4515 Central Boulevard, Burnaby, during regular office hours, and is available on the website.

or otherwise disqualified by law</li></ul><p><strong>What to Bring When You Vote</strong></p><p>If you are a <strong>resident</strong> elector, bring two pieces of identification that prove your identity (one must have your signature). The identification must prove both residency and identity.</p><p>If you are a <strong>non-resident</strong> property elector, bring:</p><ul><li>Two pieces of identification that prove your identity (one must have your signature); and</li><li>Proof of property ownership (certificate of title, tax notice, assessment notice or a current title search); and</li><li>If there is more than one owner, written consent from the majority of the owners, including yourself, for you to register as the elector.
