Governance structure
Metro Vancouver is a political body and corporate entity operating under provincial legislation as a ‘regional district’ and ‘greater boards’ that deliver regional services, policy, and political leadership on behalf of its members.
Four separate corporate entities, each with a different set of members, operate as Metro Vancouver:
* Electoral Area A is not a member jurisdiction but pursuant to the GVWD Act, the Director for Electoral Area A is a voting member of the Board.
