Bulldog Bag Ltd. is currently operating under approval GVU1251, which expires January 27, 2025.</p><p>Bulldog Bag Ltd. is requesting a new permit with a term to January 31, 2035 and an initial decrease in authorized Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) from 360 tonnes/year to 160 tonnes per year to reflect current operations. Bulldog Bag Ltd. will install a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) by no later than December 31, 2026 to further reduce emissions of VOCs to 4 tonnes/year and eliminate ozone emissions from the facility.</p><p>Bulldog Bag's flexographic printing process uses alcohol-based inks which are applied to plastic film. The heating process causes the VOC's in the ink to be emitted. Three inline presses have corona treaters on them which prepare the surface of the film for the printing process.
