Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc.Creative Energy Vancouver Platforms Inc.GVA1193<div class="ExternalClass01B806CC81D7461DB3C25CC622CE98D0"><p>​​The purpose of this application is to request authorization to continue discharging aircontaminants from Creative Energy’s existing district energy heating plant located at 1-720 Beatty Street, Vancouver, BC V6B 2M1 (rezoned to 150 W. Georgia St.). Creative Energy is currently operating under permit GVA1041, which expires April 1, 2025.</p><p>Creative Energy is requesting a new permit with term to April 1, 2035. The existing facility uses six natural gas boilers to produce steam for Creative Energy’s district energy system.The combustion products from the steam boilers are discharged to the atmosphere through five stacks.</p><p>Separately, Creative Energy is constructing a new replacement steam plant, which will consist of four high-efficiency natural gas fired boilers with low emission burners. Creative Energy will submit a new permit application for this new plant closer to its completion date. The information collected will be used for the purpose of making a decision on the permit or approval application and will be forwarded to the permit or approval applicant for response to the District Director.
