Regional Park Partnership Program

The Park Partnership Program is a way for Metro Vancouver to work with community volunteers to promote and protect the system of regional parks. Together, our partners facilitate opportunities for all citizens to enjoy, shape and contribute to stewardship, conservation, education and outdoor recreation in regional parks.

 Park associations

Park associations are self-governed, non-profit entities that pursue interests or activities in specific regional parks. They propose projects, mobilize volunteers and conduct activities in their regional park of interest, as well as provide feedback on park planning and management. Park associations are champions for their respective park and for the regional parks system.

 Park partners

In some regional parks, Metro Vancouver partners with non-profit societies and community groups that have specific interests related to the park. These groups are referred to as partner groups. Partner groups are an important part of the social fabric of regional parks, communities and the region. They often conduct activities in more than one municipality and sometimes in more than one regional park.
