from a steel heat treating facility located at 9531 194A Street, Surrey, BC V4N 4G4. </p><p>Precision Heat Treat Ltd. requests authorization to discharge air contaminants from a steel
heat treating facility where parts are loaded into the Integral Quench (IQ) furnaces to reach
the maximum desirable hardness. Quenching oil is used to cool the metal parts after heat
application. After removing from the IQ furnace and passing through the carburizing
furnace, the parts are washed and introduced to the tempering furnace several time to
achieve the desired product specification. In some stages, inert gases (N2) or reducing
gases (e.g., ammonia during carburizing) are added to the furnace to remove surface
