| Public engagement on Metro Vancouver’s proposed 2027 budget | Public engagement on Metro Vancouver’s proposed 2027 budget | <div class="ExternalClass802B4805E9864191A86C09263BF1E301"><p>Metro Vancouver is planning our 2027 budget and five-year financial plan and is inviting residents to provide feedback during the second phase of public engagement, from August 19 to September 11, 2026.</p><p> Earlier this year, Metro Vancouver conducted the first phase of the engagement, inviting residents to share feedback on the regional services households use every day, infrastructure projects, and long-term investments. The feedback received helped shape the proposed 2027 budget.</p><p> In this second phase of engagement, residents are invited to provide feedback on the proposed household impact of the 2027 budget. Input gathered during this phase will help inform Metro Vancouver Boards as they consider the budget and make decisions to support the long-term sustainability and resilience of essential regional services.</p><p> Every day, over three million people — more than half of BC's population — rely on Metro Vancouver for clean water, clean air, and other services that contribute to a high quality of life in our region. Approximately 90 per cent of what the average household contributes to Metro Vancouver is used to maintain the water, sewer, and solid waste systems.
