The Integrated Liquid Waste and Resource Management Plan (ILWRMP), approved by the Province in 2011, establishes the coordinated approach for wastewater management in the Metro Vancouver region. It sets out goals, strategies, and actions for Metro Vancouver and its member jurisdictions that help ensure the protection of human health and the environment, while using wastewater as a resource and minimizing treatment costs. Progress reports
Every two years, Metro Vancouver and its member jurisdictions submit a Biennial Report to the Ministry of Environment and Parks summarizing progress made toward achieving the plan’s goals. Unlike past Biennial Reports that were often hundreds of pages long, this report has been streamlined into a brief status update on progress made on the 2011 ILWRMP actions.
