City of Surrey – 6480 - 152 StreetCity of Surrey – 6480 - 152 Street<div class="ExternalClass65E1A51DE0364CFEA7D79FAFDEAD7CF1"><p>Metro 2050 Type 2 Proposed Amendment, Bylaw No. 1429, 2025</p><p>On October 31, 2025, the Metro Vancouver Board gave first, second, and third readings to a Type 2 amendment to Metro 2050 to redesignate portions of the site at 6480 - 152 Street from Agricultural to Employment and expand the Urban Containment Boundary. Metro Vancouver Regional District Regional Growth Strategy Amendment Bylaw No. 1398, 2024Metro Vancouver Regional District Regional Growth Strategy Amendment Bylaw No. 1398, 2024<div class="ExternalClassFE4E4DF4B51C447FBE50F09BEA83BE69"><p>On February 6, 2025, the Metro Vancouver Regional District Board adopted a Type 3 Amendment to Metro 2050. The Amendment added Major Transit Growth Corridors to the wording in three areas pertaining to the regional affordable rental housing target, ensuring consistency between the endorsed Regional Affordable Rental Housing Target Implementation Guideline and Metro 2050. The Amendment corrected minor inconsistencies in terminology, formatting, numerical references​, and mapping. Metro 2050 Proposed Amendments to Reflect the Electoral Area A Official Community PlanMetro 2050 Proposed Amendments to Reflect the Electoral Area A Official Community Plan<div class="ExternalClass8B0F865583A54858B58CEE0E5EC7C9E1"><p>Metro Vancouver Regional District Regional Growth Strategy Amendment Bylaw No. 1378, 2024 and No. 1379, 2024.​</p><p>On June 28, 2024,​ the Metro Vancouver Regional District Board adopted a Type 2 and 3 Amendment to Metro 2050​​. The amendments to Metro 2050 better align its land use designations with the Board-adopted 2018 Electoral Area A Official Community Plan Bylaw that applies to the majority of the rural and remote portions of the Electoral Area (excluding UBC, UEL, Bowyer Island, Passage Island, and First Nation reserve lands).</p><p>​Staff identified Metro 2050 regional land use designation changes to ninety-two parcels.
