This flat, wheelchair accessible trail is 2.3 km return.<br></li><li>Shaggy Mane Trail is an 11 km loop with steep climbs in and out of the valley; some seasonal muddy sections. Plan enough time to complete the loop as there are very few opportunities to shorten the distance via other trails. Hikers please yield to equestrians.<br></li></ul><div> <br> </div><p>To see al​​l the trails in the park, <a href="/services/regional-parks/Documents/campbell-valley-regional-park-map.pdf" target="_blank">view the park map.</a><br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass7D2A2FCAD6D24D5DBA503DF14F8CE95E"><p>For visitors arriving by bicycle, there is a bike rack outside the washroom at the South Valley Entrance at 8<sup>th</sup> Avenue.​</p><p>Cycling is allowed only on the Perimeter Trail.  Expect to encounter horses, joggers and hikers on some trail sections. Cyclists should slow down and yield to pedestrians and equestrians. ​</p><p>Horses, being prey animals, are easily startled by sudden and fast approac​hes and that can endanger their riders.  Horses recognize human voices, so talk to the horse and rider to let the horse know you are not a threat.    <br></p><p>Cyclists can connect to municipal trails by cycling roads to get to trailheads o​f South Langley Regional Trail, High Point multi-use trail and Fernridge Trail.<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClassFC0D2A247AEC44E698DD707AECFA74F8"><p>There are nearly 17 km of trails on which to ride horses. The Shaggy Mane Trail is over 11 km of shared trail open to equestrians and pedestrians.  For safety, pedestrians must yield to equestrians when sharing the trail. Runners and equestrians should slow down and talk about how to pass by each other on the trail. A bus stop is near the park entrance at 200th Street and 20th Avenue, Langley.  <a href="https://www.translink.ca/" target="_blank">More info</a></p></div></div><div class="ExternalClassFDA24464760144EB9FD8DEEFE67730EE"><p>​To protect park habitat, vegetation removal is prohibited. Take only photographs; leave only footprints.​<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass4187F38CF02A43568F1A996232BA1CD9"><div><p>​McLean Pond is closed to fishing and stocking to protect native animals living there. Fishing lines, hooks and non-native fish damage wetland ha​bitat and endanger native wildlife. Provincial regulation, since April 1, 2017, prohibits fishing in McLean Pond and is included in the Freshwater Fishing Regulations Synopsis.<br></p></div></div><div class="ExternalClass1F5CDE993E3B4F169396E9E7AC529EDF"><p>​Parking for horse trailers can be accommodated at Campbell Downs Equestrian Centre.​<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClassBC6DA0E9B0ED4FE2AB6AB38A5983F227"><p>​<br><br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass9371BBE8D74C4FED887FB127889F5F83"><p>Expect horses in the park, especially along the Shaggy Mane Trail that is open to both pedestrians and equestrians. Pedestrians, please yield to equ​estrians. Cycling is <strong>not permitted</strong> on the Shaggy Mane Trail.<br></p><div><p>​You can access the So​uth Langley Regional Trail from Campbell Valley's south east corner. The park is also near Fernridge Trail and High Point multi-use trail.<br></p></div></div><div class="ExternalClass34C9FB7DEB33451F88B9364A63408ED5"><p>​The Annand/Rowlatt Farmstead is a designated historical site with restored buil​​dings dating back to 1898. </p><p>The Lochiel Schoolhouse was built in 1924 and operated as a one-room school un​​til 1975. Picnic tables and toilets at the North Valley Entrance, South Valley Entrance are also accessible (some may have difficulty with the heavy door or latch). Toilets at the Equestrian Centre are accessible. </p> <p>Little River Loop Trail is 2.2 km in length, and is a minimum 1.7 m wide. Most of the trail h​​​as a gentle grade (less than 5% slope) while 40 m of trail has 6-8% slope. The trail surface is firm, made of packed crushed rock. </p> <p>Perimeter Trail is 3.9 km in length, 2.4 m wide, with a maximum grade of 6-8% slo​pe for 10 m. The rest of the trail has gentle slopes.</p> </div><div class="ExternalClass2B76314D3F5F4ADF8EBB23A4B7D6B924"><p>​Fires are permitted only in ​​​the designated fire rings at <a href="/services/regional-parks/facility/old-orchard-picnic-shelter">Old Orchard Picnic Shelter</a> (1 fire ring - first come, first served if not booked) and <a href="/services/regional-parks/facility/camp-coyote-group-campsite">Camp Coyote Group Campsite</a> (1 fire ring - booking required).
