Overview
In response to the increasing popularity and demand for camping, Metro Vancouver is planning an expansion of campsites at
Derby Reach Regional Park — just east of the existing Edgewater Bar Campground.
The new campsites will be designed to reduce the impacts of seasonal flooding and avoid disturbing existing natural areas, recreational amenities, and trails. As part of the expansion, Metro Vancouver also plans to build a new access road, picnic shelter, and other campground amenities to enhance the visitor experience and ensure accessibility for all.
Design work for the campground expansion is scheduled to begin in the fall.
