Winston Street Sewer ProjectWinston Street Sewer Project

The Winston Street Sewer carries wastewater from the City of Burnaby to the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant in the City of Delta. In order to accommodate future growth in the City of Burnaby, and to ensure continued protection of public health and the environment, this sewer pipe needs to be replaced with a new, larger pipe. It will be approximately 3.2 kilometers long and will be installed by open trench and tunneling methods (see map for project location).

Construction for Phase Two started in May 2022 and is expected to be complete by late 2024.

Winston Street, from Lougheed Highway to east of Piper Avenue, City of Burnaby
