The Alternative Approval Process is a public approval method used for certain local government decisions. It allows eligible residents to indicate whether they opposed a proposed bylaw by submitting a response form during the notice period. If the number of objections reaches the legal threshold, the local government cannot proceed under the alternative approval process.
