Pebble Hill Reservoir Seismic UpgradePebble Hill Reservoir Seismic Upgrade

Operating the region’s vast water system requires constant upgrades, repairs, and expansion to meet the needs of a growing population. Metro Vancouver is seismically upgrading Pebble Hill Reservoir located at Pebble Hill Park in the City of Delta.

Pebble Hill is an in-system reservoir, one of 27 in the region. In-system reservoirs help maintain the required water pressure needed during peak times.

This seismic upgrade of the Pebble Hill reservoir will help ensure the continued delivery of clean, safe drinking water to residents especially during an emergency event.

Construction will be completed in two phases from fall 2021 until late 2023. The majority of work will take place inside of the reservoir to minimize construction impacts on the surrounding community.

City of Delta

The remaining work will complete waterproofing of the rooftops of the reservoirs. This work has taken longer to complete than anticipated and will continue until project completion in late 2023. The tennis courts are anticipated to re-open in late 2023, weather permitting. Once they re-open, they will be covered in a new permanent surface coating.

Read the full update

8/18/2023 7:00:00 AM
