Douglas Road Water MainDouglas Road Water Main<div class="ExternalClass851CCA64C0254D5FAD0FF3A128F0D2B6"><div>Metro Vancouver has now constructed the new Douglas Road Water Main, which spans 15 kilometres across the cities of Burnaby and New Westminster. The original water main, built in the 1940s, was at the end of its service life.  The conclusion of the Still Creek South section marks the achievement of a fully constructed Douglas Road Water Main, which began in 2007 and was carried out in phases over the past 18 years.  This is substantial milestone for the project, and we thank the community for their patience as completed this critical work.</div><div><br></div><div>Metro Vancouver crews will return in fall 2027 to connect the new water main into the existing water distribution system.​<br></div></div>City of BurnabyProject
