Project overview
The Langley Recycling and Waste Centre is being upgraded to accept more materials and make recycling easier and more convenient. The facility is being modernized through construction of a new free public recycling depot, a covered scale plaza with two weigh scales, and a separate service scale.
The project will increase free recycling, improve customer flow and convenience, enhance safety, and support broader regional waste diversion goals.
Recycling depots play an integral role in reducing waste in the region by helping keep recyclable and reusable materials out of the garbage. The Langley Recycling and Waste Centre will remain fully operational during this project.
