Regional Parks Workshops

Regional park interpreters help teachers use the outdoor classroom to connect student with nature and experiential learning.

Connecting Children to NatureConnecting Children to Nature<div class="ExternalClass9A81ABC661E94101A7738C836F7EFC94"><p>Want to get children outside and help them reap the benefits of outside learning? This workshop will provide you with tips, tricks and tools of the trade as well as helpful info about group management. You'll also discover activities and games to heighten participants' sensory awareness, to focus learning and help them engage with nature.​<br></p></div>
Interpretation SkillsInterpretation Skills<div class="ExternalClass10A2E65C8CFC42A38406DB9D05F31817"><p>​​Want to know how to inspire audiences and forge connections between people and place? </p><p>Learn how to plan programs, lead guided walks, deliver nature talks and age-appropriate activities. This workshop may also be of interest to volunteers, camp leaders and university students.​<br></p></div>

Fees and cancellation

Programs usually last two hours. The minimum fee is $170 for a group of up to 15 participants. Longer programs or larger groups can be accommodated for an additional cost. $25 travel fee if not delivered in a regional park.​

Programs take place rain or shine. If you need to cancel or change the date of your program, a $25 administration fee will be retained. No refund will be issued for cancellations less than two weeks before the program date.
