Flat with one steep section to reach the dyke. Mundy Creek Trail is pedestrian-only; dyke trails are shared with cyclists. Views of Mundy Creek, Coquitlam River, and habitat enhancement areas. By keeping your dog leashed and out of sensitive habitat areas, you help protect park wildlife. Thanks!</li></ul><p>To see all the trail​​s in the park, click <a href="/services/regional-parks/Documents/colony-farm-regional-park-map.pdf">here</a> to see the park map.<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass5213471DA2DA402D98EC7CB4151FE4E0"><div>A bike rack is located at the Main Entrance near the washrooms. Dyke trails and the trail along the western boundary are open to cycling and shared with hikers. Cyclists yield to pedestrians. </div><div><br></div><div>Cycling is <strong>not permitted </strong>on Garden Trail, Mundy Creek Trail, ƛ̓éxətəm Road Trail, or in the Community Gardens. Cyclists are required to walk bikes on pedestrian-only trails. </div><div><br></div><div>A section of Home Farm Dyke Trail south of the Millennium Bridge is closed until further notice. Until a cycling connection can be re-established,<strong> there is no cycling access to dyke trails from Colony Farm Road (ƛ̓éxətəm Road) and the Main Entrance.</strong><br></div></div><div class="ExternalClass4432FC6DA6194FA28784A5BC6A264E34"><p>Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the park's​​ Wildlife Habitat Areas. A small parking lot is located at the Mundy Creek Trailhead. There is no parking along Colony Farm Rd (ƛ̓éxətəm Rd).​<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass7BFFAD8ABA8D43EAA43EC54424933434"> <p>Some dykes are park and municipal access routes – be prepared to encounter vehicles.<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass9B2F4A2E7BFC4D60A33C6CAE755F75C4"><p> <strong>Habitat ​​Alert!<br></strong>Designated Wildlife Habitat Areas offer critical food, shelter and breeding s​​ites, as well as migration resting and staging grounds. People and dogs are not permitted in them. Help protect other valuable park habitats by staying on trails and leashing dogs.</p><div class="ExternalClass3E0928B428E34FC998C550F24961FEAA"> <strong></strong> </div><p> <b>Shee​p Paddocks Habitat Enhancement Areas<br></b>Several habitat enhancement projects have been completed adjacent to the Sheep Paddoc​ks Trail to provide habitat for many wildlife species. The latest one, along the new section of trail, is a 1.2 hectare wetland that includes features for all the life stages of Western painted turtles.</p><div class="ExternalClass3E0928B428E34FC998C550F24961FEAA"> <strong></strong> </div><p> <strong>Colony Farm​​ Regional Park Tidal Flow Restoration and Habitat Enhancement Project</strong><br>This project, completed on the Wilson Farm portion of the park, was designed to restore tidal flows, enhance ecosystem productivity, ​​​and create fish access from the Coquitlam River. Bears may also pass through the park from time to time. Pathways through the community gardens are grass and may be difficult for some to use.​​​​ </p> <p><strong>​Trail Ac​cessibility:​</strong><br></p> <p>Home Farm Dyke Trail​ - most of the trail is 7mm crushed rock (firm) with gentle slopes (< 5%); some areas have potholes. Where it meets Mundy Creek Trail, the trail surface is loose gravel. At the Main Entrance, access to Home Farm Dyke Trail via the roadway is also gravel. Park visitors with mobility challenges, wheelchairs or strollers are permitted to use the closed section of the Home Farm Dyke Trail.<br></p> <p>Wilson Farm Dyke Trail has a semi-firm surface with some softer sections of loose gravel. There is a small threshold on the bridge to get to Wilson Farm Dyke Trail from Garden Trail. Junctions at the Millennium Bridge and Pumphouse Trail have gravel surfaces. The northeastern exit to Shaughnessy St and the exit via Pumphouse Trail have steep slopes (up to 24.3%).</p> <p>​Garden Trail has some loose gravel, several steeper slopes (up to 14% for 2.3 m), ​and the trail narrows (<810 mm) in some sections due to encroaching grass. The trail ends at a bridge with one step on both sides, and stairs to Home Farm Dyke Trail.<br></p> <p>Mundy Creek Trail has a semi-firm surface with loose gravel in some areas. Some slopes are greater than 10% and the trail narrows (< 8​​10 mm) in some areas. There are steep slopes (up to 19% for 5 m) on both ends of the trail.<br></p> <p>ƛ̓éxətəm Road Trail<strong> </strong>(formerly Colony Farm Road Trail)​ is flat with a steep slope (18% for up to 5 m) to access the Mundy Creek parking lot. The trail is surfaced with coarse gravel and is soft/loose in some areas. The path narrows (< 810 mm) in some areas and may become muddy when wet.<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClassE9A239303E3440B7872C4BE1D04BCF59"><div><p>One electric vehicle charging station is available in the main parking lot. Charging​ is free.
