Natural Resource Management Framework

The Metro Vancouver region contains provincially, nationally and globally significant natural areas that contribute ecological goods and services vital to the well-being of local communities.

The Natural Resource Management Framework provides strategic direction for managing the natural resources within regional parks. It is guided by the principles of ecosystem-based management, adaptive management, the precautionary principle and collaboration.

It sets out the strategies to achieve these high level goals:

Goal 1Goal 1

Ensure ecosystem health and long-term resiliency to conserve diverse biological communities and their associated habitats.
