Burnaby Lake Nature House

The Nature House re-opens Sunday, May 19, 2024!


Exhibits and activities for visitors of all age

Discover inside the Nature House:

  • Real specimens of a coyote and beaver-chewed stump
  • Living pond creatures
  • Children's puzzles and discovery boxes
  • Games and books about local wildlife
  • Displays on local natural history
  • Photo gallery of images taken by park visitors (changes weekly)

Explore outside butterfly garden, Piper Spit and viewing tower to find:

  • Hummingbirds, butterflies and native bees
  • Ducks, dragonflies, migratory birds and beaver lodges
  • Nest boxes and lovely birds-eye views of Burnaby Lake​
