Overview
Help shape the future of the Admiralty Heights subarea in təmtəmíxʷtən/Belcarra Regional Park.
The place currently called “Admiralty Heights” is a 275-hectare subarea of predominantly mature forest located in the southwest corner of təmtəmíxʷtən / Belcarra Regional Park. təmtəmíxʷtən is a səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) ancestral village site and a core part of their territory, which they have stewarded since time out of mind.
As part of their Cultural Planning and Cooperation Agreement, Metro Vancouver and səlilwətaɬ are co-developing a long-term management plan for “Admiralty Heights”. The plan will guide decision making over the next 20 plus years related to ecosystem and wildlife stewardship, səlilwətaɬ cultural use and visibility, trails and wayfinding, amenities, park operations, and nature education programming.
We are inviting community feedback to help inform a long‑term vision for the Admiralty Heights subarea.
Informed by local knowledge, best practices, ecological data, and public input, the plan aims to reflect the diverse values and needs of those who use and care for the park.
