Pump Station and Storage TankPump Station and Storage Tank<div class="ExternalClass7081D6E5DC2A437B957FC1D7E2B65403"><p>A new pump station and storage tank in Maple Ridge have been built to divert wastewater from Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows to the treatment plant in the Township of Langley. Major construction activities for the pump station and storage tank are now complete.</p><p>The pump station and storage tank is located near Golden Ears Way and 113B Avenue. The south side of the building features artwork by q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie First Nation) artist sɬə́məxʷ (Rain Pierre).</p>​The storage tank, which has now been commissioned, temporarily stores wastewater and reduces overflows during heavy rain, providing immediate capacity to the sewer system.<p></p> <p>​​Once the treatment plant upgrades are complete, the new pump station will be connected into the wastewater system and the existing pump station will be decommissioned.<br></p></div>City of Maple RidgeProject
