Northwest Langley Wastewater Treatment Plant ExpansionNorthwest Langley Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion<div class="ExternalClassFC27B14E773549EA9E4C6E5D83B7E46F"><p>The existing plant was constructed as a secondary wastewater treatment facility in 1978, and was designed to provide services to approximately 30,000 people in northwest Langley. The current expansion design will allow service to be expanded to include a larger area of Langley, along with Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, and areas of North Surrey. The expanded plant will eventually serve over 280,000 people.<br></p><p>Significant ground improvements will be undertaken to ensure operation in the event of an earthquake, including raising the entire site above the 1-in-200-year flood level.​​<br></p></div>Township of LangleyProject
