Gleneagles Sewer System UpgradesGleneagles Sewer System Upgrades<div class="ExternalClassCCC05AF551E34B23960EED8C2744B61A"><p>The Gleneagles Sewer and Pump Stations are critical infrastructure that move wastewater safely from communities in the District of West Vancouver to the Lions Gate Wastewater Treatment Plant. They were constructed over 50 years ago and require upgrades as they approach the end of their service life.</p><p>Metro Vancouver is continuing work to replace five pump stations to increase their capacity, improve operational access and safety, make them more seismically sound, and help prevent sewer overflows in the event of a power outage.</p><p>Metro Vancouver is also upgrading several sections of the Gleneagles Sewer. Improvements will increase pipe capacity and enhance sewer reliability to accommodate regional growth and protect public health and the environment.
