The Steller | The Steller | <div class="ExternalClass2B8C6E12DA08464F9B83E1738C0CDBF3"><p>Metro Vancouver Housing is preparing to develop a new affordable, family-oriented rental housing project at 7388 Southwynde Avenue in Burnaby. This vacant City-owned site will be leased to Metro Vancouver Housing to develop approximately 120 homes for families, seniors, and people with disabilities, as well as a non-profit childcare centre. Homes will include a mix of sizes, with a focus on larger family units, and accessible, age-friendly design to support people of all ages and abilities.</p><p>Centrally located in the heart of Burnaby's Edmonds Town Centre, the site is ideal for families. Located on a safe and quiet street next to Byrne Creek Park and the Central Valley Greenway, the site has abundant access to nature and recreation. It also has easy access to schools, shops, amenities, everyday needs and transit, including the Edmonds SkyTrain Station.<br></p>

<strong>Affordability: </strong>All homes will provide some level of affordability and the building will be mixed income for low to moderate income working households. </li><li>

<strong>Sustainability:</strong> The building will be high performing, balancing affordability with energy-efficient design to support tenant comfort and climate action. </li><li>
<strong>Amenities: </strong>Indoor and outdoor tenant amenities will provide flexible, multi-use spaces for people of all ages.</li><li>
<strong>Integrated childcare facility:</strong> A non-profit childcare facility on the ground floor will support 37 new childcare spaces for both residents and the broader community. <br></li></ul>
