Le Chateau PlaceLe Chateau Place<div class="ExternalClass850E8A59579149C18BB7C5769ABBEB77"><p>​Le Chateau Place, located at 312 Schoolhouse Street in Coquitlam, was originally built in 1980. It is a four-level apartment building with a two-level parking garage and 24 residential units for families. Metro Vancouver is undertaking a comprehensive deep energy retrofit project to improve energy efficiency and tenant comfort.<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClassE95D26EE72644B4D88395AF0938C42EF"><ul><li>The exterior wall assembly will be replaced with new pre-fabricated wall panels that will upgrade the building envelope (new air/moisture barrier, new exterior insulation, new cladding) as well as improve seismic restraint.</li><li>The exterior windows and doors will be replaced with new energy efficient units.</li><li>The existing balconies and guard rails will be completely removed and replaced with new, free-standing balconies with guardrails.</li><li>The existing HVAC equipment will be upgraded to a new high efficiency electric system.</li><li>Replacement of gas-fired hot water boilers with electric heat pumps, combined with envelope upgrades, will reduce energy use by 70% and GHG emissions by 98%.​​<br></li></ul></div>https://metrovancouver.org/services/housing/PublishingImages/le-chateau.jpg, Le Chateau https://metrovancouver.org/services/housing/PublishingImages/le-chateau.jpg<div class="ExternalClassEA485BE269E54EC2AF1F997F965EE9F7"><p>​A tenant survey was conducted in 2022 which included questions on occupant comfort.
