Heather Place B | Heather Place B | <div class="ExternalClassEDD22BE693954F9FAF34BB3FA80FF601"><p>Metro Vancouver Housing is developing new affordable rental homes through a phased redevelopment project at Heather Place, located in the City of Vancouver’s Fairview neighbourhood. The first phase of redevelopment, Building A, opened July 2020 with 67 new units. The second phase, Building B, located at 788 West 13th Avenue, will add another 87 units for low to moderate income families, seniors, and people with disabilities.<br></p><p>

<a href="/services/housing/heather-place-a">Heather Place Building A</a><br></p><p>Heather Place is located in a highly walkable area, on a safe and quiet neighbourhood street, close to a wide range of schools, parks, shops, services, and amenities along the Broadway and Cambie corridors. Less than one kilometre from the Broadway-City Hall SkyTrain Station, as well as the future Broadway subway line, the site offers easy access to transit as well as the Heather Street bikeway. Car-share located within the building will provide additional transportation options for residents. <br></p></div> | <div class="ExternalClass87D671C2B92E4BC2A282CB38A203E320"><ul><li><strong>Sustainability:</strong> The building is designed to meet the City's Zero Emissions Building pathway and

<strong>Accessibility: </strong>All homes will be either accessible or meet universal design standards. This will support people with disabilities, and support seniors to age in place. </li><li>
<strong>Affordability: </strong>All homes will provide some level of affordability and the building will be mixed income for low to moderate income working households. </li><li>
<strong>Amenities: </strong>Indoor and outdoor tenant amenities will provide flexible, multi-use spaces for people of all ages and include features such as an indoor amenity room, outdoor plaza and seating, attractive landscaping, and community gardens. Secure bike storage, bike repair area, car share, and mobility scooter storage are also available.</li><li>
<strong>In-home daycare:</strong> A purpose built in-home daycare will be located in a ground floor unit to support up to eight multi-age child care spaces for residents and others in the community. </li><li>
<strong>Unit features: </strong>All units will include in-suite laundry, large in-suite storage (suitable for strollers), kitchen appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher), vinyl plank flooring, and balconies/patios.</li></ul>
