Crown ManorCrown Manor<div class="ExternalClassA1DCEF0F2BD94E0F806AB61412B2792F"><p>​Crown Manor, located at 430 Ninth Street in New Westminster, was originally built in 1966. It is a five-level apartment building with 29 residential units partially constructed over a single-level, at-grade parking garage. Metro Vancouver is undertaking a comprehensive deep energy retrofit project to improve energy efficiency and tenant comfort.​<br></p></div><div class="ExternalClass588818825EDB4D58B6C864D2D2633716"><ul><li>The roof assembly will be upgraded with additional insulation to improve energy efficiency.</li><li>The exterior wall assembly will be upgraded with new air and moisture barriers, new exterior insulation, and new cladding.</li><li>The exterior windows and doors will be replaced with new energy efficient units.</li><li>The balcony membrane and guardrails will be replaced.</li><li>The existing mechanical systems (HVAC and domestic hot water) will be upgraded to new, high efficiency electric systems that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 95%. </li><li>The project is expected to reduce the buildings energy consumption by 70​%.</li><li>Two new residential rental units will be added to the existing building, increasing the density by 9%.​<br></li></ul></div>https://metrovancouver.org/services/housing/PublishingImages/Crown-Manor.jpg, Crown Manor https://metrovancouver.org/services/housing/PublishingImages/Crown-Manor.jpg<div class="ExternalClass046DE6F4331E40B9A0D3494583CE78D6"><p>​A tenant survey was conducted in 2022, which included questions on occupant comfort.
