| S & R Sawmills Ltd. | S & R Sawmills Ltd. | GVA1130 | <div class="ExternalClassF5E57200B5644DF49EEDAA4805FC6DB7"><p>The purpose of this application is to request authorization to discharge air contaminants from a raw log sawmilling and wood chip transfer facility located at 18887 98A Avenue, Surrey, 19515 98A Avenue, Surrey; and 19791 101 Avenue, Langley, BC.</p><p>S & R Sawmills Ltd. is a group of four sawmills located semi contiguously in proximity to each other along the south side of the Fraser River in Surrey and Langley. The mills cut lumber from raw logs and sawdust and wood chips are collected and separated using pneumatic conveying and cyclone systems and are stored in outdoor piles or bins. The sawdust is taken off site by truck while the chips are moved by barge. On site there are four transfer stations for unloading trucked wood chips from other mills. These transfer stations use conveyers to move chips to piles and onto barges. There are four barge loading locations that use a drop chute.
