Housing Data Dashboard

The Metro Vancouver Housing Data Dashboard compiles a large collection of regional and municipal data to provide a comprehensive overview of the region's housing market and the people it impacts. The data is presented in six topic areas.

Metro Vancouver analyzes and communicates data that supports and guides decision making in our region. This dashboard can be used by researchers and policy makers, helping to inform housing planning and policy decisions.

A glossary is provided to ensure consistent interpretation of the dashboard’s content.

Data sources

Most of this dashboard’s data is publicly accessible. Data sources include Statistics Canada, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), BC Housing, Greater Vancouver Realtors, the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board, the Homelessness Services Association of BC, the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC, and Metro Vancouver member jurisdictions. Metro Vancouver has obtained data from the Government of BC's Online Data Catalogue, which has made specific datasets available for the purpose of preparing Housing Needs Reports. Datasets obtained through custom requests from Statistics Canada, CMHC, and BC Housing are also included. This dashboard is updated as new data becomes available.
