Program description

If a raindrop falls on the side of a mountain, what will it become? Find out how water shapes the landscape and see the effects it has on the plants and animals that live in the rainforest. Walk among giant trees and trickling streams while learning with hands-on activities.

Sample activities (may vary depending on the location, leader, group age, or teacher request):

  • Water Cycle Tag: Discover how water evaporates, condenses, and precipitates as raindrops in this fun running game.
  • Drinking Water Discovery: View the water supply area (watershed) and lake where drinking water comes from and see the role the Cleveland Dam plays in ensuring there is drinking water year-round.
  • Rainforest Scavenger Hunt: Look for living things that rely on water and learn about some of the surprising ways that different lifeforms help each other survive.
