From towering forests to tranquil ponds and beautiful beaches, regional parks are fun and exciting classrooms. Our field trips provide hands-on, place-based education to heighten your students’ sensory awareness. Increase their critical inquiry skills, while exploring and having fun connecting to nature. Your students will experience the physical and mental health benefits of spending time in inspiring natural spaces.

Registration for spring/summer field trips (March 15 to September 30, 2025) will open
on February 10, 2025 at 8:00 am..

Program length

Pre-K and Kindergarten - 1.5 hours (park dependent)

Grade 1 and up - two hours
Costs & payment

In park field trips - $170 per class (maximum 30 including students and adults)
Once the program is booked, you'll need to pay, either by
- credit card by calling 604-432-6430 (preferred), or
- cheque payable to "Metro Vancouver Regional District"
Payment needs to be made no later than 2 weeks after receiving your invoice.
Cancellation policy
Programs take place in all weather conditions, unless deemed unsafe by Metro Vancouver. A $25 administration fee is retained for all cancellations and date changes. No refund will be issued if you cancel less than two weeks before your program date.
